Real English and Real Communication

Real linguistic competence
Real English presents a solid vocabulary and grammar syllabus and emphasises the importance of real language production, developing all the productive skills so students can express themselves competently in English.

Real English for the real world
The topics and texts in Real English are carefully chosen to introduce students to the varied cultures of the English-speaking world and to integrate in a natural way content relating to other areas of the school curriculum (CLIL).

Real English develops the key competences
Real English develops overall communication skills, and uses language learning to develop other key competences: learning to learn, working with ICT, learner autonomy, cultural awareness, etc.

Real use of language
Special attention has been paid to including a large variety of thought-provoking practice and comprehension exercises that students will find motivating and stimulating.

Real language tasks
Real English teaches the functional language students need to carry out practical real-life activities in everyday situations: talking on the phone, writing e-mails, chatting on the Internet, etc.

Real progress
Real English recycles and revises language in a cumulative way, and offers self-check pages and charts that allow students to monitor their own progress. In ESO 3 and 4, Real English gradually introduces the skills students need as they progress towards Bachillerato.
